We can dream it! We can do it!
Quote of the week:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually who are you not to be?
Message of the week from the children:
Message from Mrs Jackson:
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to let you know that I will retire as Head teacher at Marshfield in July 2014, after a new Head teacher is chosen. There is never a perfect time for this type of decision, but now is the right time. We will recruit a new Head teacher who will be here long term for Marshfield’s next direction. This is an emotional and difficult thing for me to do. I take this step with mixed feelings as Marshfield is the thing outside of my family and closest friends that matters to me most.
Marshfield is a wonderful place. I love this school and the community it serves. I love the way that together we have made a fabulous school with the biggest and boldest of educational strategies and ideas. I love our children, including all their quirks. I love the way we embrace and work with other schools to change their fortunes and succeed together.
This is a time of change for Marshfield but I am sure it’s for the better. Our Senior Leadership team, Governors and staff team are amazing. And I leave Marshfield in safe hands.
I am proud of what we have achieved. I feel good about playing a role in that success and having committed 100 percent emotionally and professionally all the way. We have helped more than 112 schools in our support for others in difficult positions and Marshfield continues to grow from strength to strength.
Our mission of “Learning for life” embraces children’s academic achievement, future work life and working together as its key principle and that will continue to be the case.
Marshfield has all its best days ahead. Know you are part of the best school community in Bradford. I know I can count on all of you to welcome the new Head teacher and to continue to make Marshfield the best school in Bradford.
Welcome to Marshfield Primary School...
It is a great pleasure to welcome you, on behalf of all staff, Governors, parents and children, to the website of Marshfield Primary School in Little Horton, Bradford West Yorkshire.
At Marshfield Primary School we aim to provide our children with the best possible education and to develop the whole child during their time with us. The schools aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality. This is achieved through a happy, stimulating learning environment where excellent staff and resources ensure the children achieve their potential.
We believe that this is achieved through a close and trusting relationship between home and school, working together at all times to promote the vision, aims and ethos of the school and community. We are committed to raising standards and the cultivation of positive achievements through exciting learning.
The staff and Governors recognise the essential involvement of the local and global community and extend a sincere welcome to all interested parties to a participation and greater understanding of communities and school working side by side to improve life chances for our children.
